When I think about what journalism has become in today's day and age, I often reflect on the words of Sports Illustrated's founder, Henry R. Luce, who said, "I became a journalist to come as close as possible to the heart of the world."

Through print, broadcast, radio, podcasting, and other media, journalists enjoy the privilege of giving a platform to people who would not have had one without them. We have a unique opportunity to deliver important information to the our communities by telling stories that might not be heard otherwise. We also have the burden of ensuring that the most important pieces of news of the day gets delivered in a factual and accurate manner. As an aspiring journalist, I welcome both the honor and the responsibility.
In my work as a producer for the New Britain Bees and as a writer for iPulse at Lynn University, I consistently improved my craft through successes and mistakes as a producer, writer, and on-air personality. Now I'm ready to tell the stories that deserve to be told. If you want journalism to be about coming as close to the heart of the world like myself and Henry R. Luce, let's talk.
